Grace Care Center and Grace Care Center Foundation will hold its annual Community Fair from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 25 at Grace Church in Noblesville. The free event is expected to welcome more than 1,500 children and their family members, supported by 300 volunteers who will come together to help local families prepare for the upcoming school year. Reservations are required to participate.
As the cost of living continues to rise, many central Indiana families face difficult choices between paying bills and purchasing school essentials. The Community Fair helps ease that burden by providing free supplies, practical services, and connections to year-round support.
Families attending the event can receive:
- New shoes, backpacks, and school supplies
- Children’s haircuts
- Vehicle checkups (reservation recommended)
- Bike repairs and bicycle giveaways
- Carnival games and family activities
- Free lunch and refreshments
- Access to Grace Care Center Choice Food Pantry (reservation required) and Grace Thrift Store (open to public)
“Every child deserves to walk into the first day of school feeling confident and prepared,” Grace Care Center Foundation CEO Cara Augspurger said. “For many families, this event provides more than backpacks and school supplies. It offers encouragement and the reminder that our community is walking alongside them.”
Beyond the day itself, the Community Fair connects families with Grace Care Center’s year-round programs, including its Choice Food Pantry, Center for Working Families financial coaching, English classes, and vehicle services. These programs help families move beyond immediate needs toward long-term stability.
The event is made possible through the generosity of community partners and sponsors, including Hamilton County Commissioner Mark Heirbrandt, the JD Finish Line Foundation, Vasey Commercial Facility Solutions, Christian Brothers Automotive of Westfield, Jeremy Coons with Edward Jones Financial Advisors in Carmel, Grace Care Center Foundation, and Starbucks at State Road 32 and Oak Ridge Road in Westfield.
