Guerin Catholic got a nice win on the road Friday night, beating Lafayette Jefferson 53-42.
The Golden Eagles led 10-8 after the first quarter, then ran away with the second period to take a 29-15 lead into halftime. Nicole Cunningham made two 3-pointers in that period, with Kathryn Loso adding six points, including 4-of-4 from the free throw line.
The Bronchos cut Guerin Catholic’s lead slightly in the third quarter, to 36-25, but the Golden Eagles clinched the game with 17 points in the fourth. Cunningham added seven more points, finishing with a team-leading 17 points, including three 3s.
Loso finished with 16 points, with Katie Koger adding 12 points.
Guerin Catholic is 6-11 and goes on the road again today, playing at Bloomington North this afternoon.
