Golden Eagles drop overtime game at Pendleton Heights

The Guerin Catholic boys basketball team dropped an overtime game on the road Tuesday at Pendleton Heights, falling 65-60.
The Golden Eagles led 9-7 after the first quarter, but the Arabians came back to go up 22-18 at halftime. Pendleton extended its lead to 41-35 after three periods, before Guerin Catholic came back in the fourth to tie the game at 54-54. The Arabians were in control of the extra period, scoring nine straight points to take the contest’s largest lead at 63-54.
Will Grissom earned a double-double for the Golden Eagles with 21 points and 11 rebounds, also handing out four assists. Robert Sorensen made three 3-pointers on his way to 15 points and six rebounds, while Lucas Parker scored 10 points. Jack Cherry handed out five assists.
Guerin Catholic is 3-2 and hosts Heritage Christian on Friday to begin Circle City Conference play.
