Girls swimming: Huskies beat Oak Hill in opener

The Hamilton Heights girls swim team made history in its season opener Monday.
The Huskies beat Oak Hill 107-79 at their home pool, marking the first time Heights had beaten Oak Hill since 2009.
“This year our team felt it was time to take the win back,” said Huskies coach Sue Beale.
Heights took first places in nine of the 12 events. Returning swimmers Rachel Sanqunetti, Lucy Uhrick, Claire Sloderbeck, Tiffany Williams and Ryleigh Poe all were first place winners. In addition, the Huskies had two freshman winners: Tara Holder in the 200 individual medley and the third leg of the 400 freestyle relay and Emily Lester in the 100 breaststroke.
The Huskies face Lebanon on Thursday.
