The soccer post-season continues tonight with the girls regional semifinals.
Noblesville will host Harrison at the Millers’ Hallmark Orthodontics Soccer Complex, with that game starting at 6 p.m. The Raiders will come to Noblesville with a 13-6 record and a victory at the Lafayette Jefferson sectional.
Harrison played three games to win the sectional, starting with a 7-0 win over Logansport in the first round. The Raiders took care of Kokomo 9-0 in the semifinals, then beat McCutcheon 2-1 in the championship game.
Senior Ruth Moser leads Harrison’s offense with 24 goals and 11 assists this season, while senior Hannah Voll has 10 goals to her credit. Senior Ryane Clawson has played the majority of minutes as goalkeeper, with 82 saves and a 1.600 goals against average (GAA).
The Class 3A No. 2 Millers are 15-0-2 and also played three games to win their home sectional. Noblesville beat Anderson 10-0 in the first round, No. 16 Mount Vernon 5-1 in the semifinals and No. 1 Hamilton Southeastern 1-0 to win their sixth consecutive sectional title.
Senior Meredith Tippner has scored 19 goals and dished out 11 assists for Noblesville, with sophomore Delaney Stone next in line with 12 goals. Senior goalkeeper Bella Wyatt has been a force with 58 saves and a 0.258 GAA.
Carmel at Brownsburg
Third-ranked Carmel travels to Brownsburg for its regional semifinal game, which also starts at 6 p.m.
The Bulldogs are 13-6 and won their own sectional. Brownsburg defeated Ben Davis 9-0 in the first round, Plainfield 2-0 in the semifinals and rival Avon 1-0 in the championship game.
Junior Elizabeth Lantrip is the goal leader with 13, while senior Sophia Dawson handing out the most assists with 12; she has also put in 10 goals. Junior Ella Hanson is the Bulldogs’ goalkeeper, she has 93 saves and a 1.201 GAA.
The Greyhounds are 14-3-2 for the season. They triumphed at the Zionsville sectional with wins over Lawrence Central 7-0 in the first round, Lawrence North 4-0 in the semifinals and No. 10 Cathedral 3-1 in the championship game.
Senior Olivia Cebalo has been dominant for Carmel, scoring 20 goals. Senior Mary Grace Knapp has had an outstanding goalkeeping season, with 68 saves and a 0.939 GAA.
