Girls soccer: Girls: Millers tie with ‘Hounds, Sheridan wins on Senior Night

The Carmel and Noblesville girls soccer teams played to a 1-1 tie Monday at Murray Stadium.

The Class 3A No. 4 Millers scored first, with Sydney Elliott putting in a goal in the sixth minute off a Fleck assist. The Greyhounds scored their goal in the 56th minute; Rylie Wilpolt made a free kick that Adalyn Cameron sent to Megan Hamm for the score.

Carmel is 11-0-3 and plays Saturday at Zionsville. Noblesville is 8-1-3 and hosts Penn on Saturday.

Sheridan won its Senior Night game on Monday, beating Eastern 3-0 for a Hoosier Heartland Conference victory.

The Blackhawks got on the board quickly, with Sadie Timme scoring from a Ji Warren assist two minutes into the game. Sheridan two more first-half goals: Lucy Hester blasted the ball into the back post for a second goal, then Timme put in the third goal.

The ‘Hawks added a second-half goal when Warren crossed the ball to Kennedy Zachery for the score. Makenzy Terry had three saves as goalkeeper.

Sheridan lead the conference standings at 4-0 and hosts Rossville tonight in another HHC game; it’s also the Blackhawks’ Pink Out Night. Sheridan is 7-3-1 overall.

Westfield cruised past Pendleton Heights 7-0 on Monday.

The Shamrocks are 7-0-5 and host Brownsburg tonight for a Hoosier Crossroads Conference game.

Fishers played to a 2-2 tie with Bishop Chatard on Monday.

The Trojans led 1-0 at halftime, but the Tigers came back with two second-half goals. Lauren Faulkner and Sienna Mullen each scored one goal.

Fishers is 3-7-3 and hosts Avon in an HCC game tonight.

Guerin Catholic dropped a 3-0 game to Cathedral on Monday

The Golden Eagles are 8-4 and host Center Grove tonight.
