Westfield’s girls basketball team kept its win streak going on Friday, cruising past Zionsville 46-36 in a Hoosier Crossroads Conference game at CSI Gymnasium.
The Shamrocks got an early lead on the Eagles, holding a 17-7 advantage after one quarter. Aubrey Crockett made three 3-pointers during the opening period. The other three quarters were played even, so Westfield was able to maintain its lead for the remainder of the contest: the ‘Rocks led 24-15 at halftime and 34-25 after three periods.
Lindsey Van Dyke scored 14 points, including eight in the fourth quarter. Crockett and MaKayla Hatcher both finished with nine points, while Sam Price added eight points.
Westfield is 2-1 in HCC play and 6-4 overall. The Shamrocks play another conference game Tuesday when they host Avon.
