Guerin Catholic dropped a 78-69 game to North Central Saturday afternoon at the Eagles Nest.
The Golden Eagles got off to a good start, leading 19-11 after the first quarter. The Panthers began chipping away at that advantage in the next two periods, cutting Guerin’s lead to 32-26 by halftime. The Golden Eagles still held a 52-49 led after three quarters, but North Central poured in 29 points in the fourth to take the game.
Bernie McGuinness had a great game, scoring 29 points for Guerin Catholic. Joseph Bobilya added 18 points, while Kaleb Edwards scored 15 points, in addition to eight rebounds and four assists. McGuinness pulled six rebounds and Matthew Gillis collected five.
The Golden Eagles are 12-6 and play Tuesday at Shortridge.
