Garland Ray Bledsoe

Garland Ray Bledsoe, 82, Noblesville, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022, at his home. He was born on September 16, 1939, to Ballard and Elizabeth (Johnson) Bledsoe in Jonesville, Va.

Garland graduated from Jonesville High School in 1959. He moved to Indiana after graduation and worked at Conner Prairie managing the hog operation. He then worked at Noblesville Casting (formerly TRW) until his retirement. Garland showed his family the meaning of hard work and living humbly. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. Garland also loved his vegetable garden and sharing his tomatoes with his friends and family. He was a handy man and could fix almost anything, but his treasure in life was his family and many friends.

Garland is survived by his son, Gary (Lisa) Bledsoe; daughter, Amy (Corey) Wheeler; grandchildren, Nicole (Andrew) Pearson, Nathaniel, Rachel, and Jonathan Bledsoe, and Lauren and Julia Wheeler; great-grandson, Knox Pearson; brothers-in-law, Jeff (LaVonna) Dashiell and Jim (Sue) Dashiell; sister-in-law, Melissa Dashiell; and his friend, Mona Pettigrew.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jane Bledsoe; infant daughter, Sue Ann Bledsoe; infant brother, Clarence Bledsoe; and his brother-in-law, John Dashiell.

Private graveside service and burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
