State Rep. Victoria Garcia Wilburn (D-Fishers) voted on Monday to send public retirees a 13th check this year.
After Monday’s third reading vote, House Bill 1004 has passed the House of Representatives and is heading to the Senate for consideration.
“I am thrilled to have voted to send public retirees, including teachers, a 13th check this year,” Garcia Wilburn said. “With rising property taxes and utility bills, lawmakers should do everything we can to make household costs easier for seniors. I am calling upon my colleagues in the Senate to take up House Bill 1004 and pass it. It’s what our public retirees deserve.”
