Three Hamilton County golfers played in the opening rounds of the 2025 Junior PGA Championship at Purdue University’s Brick Boilermaker Golf Complex this week.
Incoming Carmel freshman Maya Fujisawa-Keuling made the cut in the Girls Division. Fujisawa-Keuling finished the first two rounds of the tournament with an even par 143. In Tuesday’s first round at the par-72 Kampen-Cosler course, Fujisawa-Keuling scored 73, making two birdies.
Fujisawa-Keuling played Wednesday’s second round at the par-71 Ackerman-Allen course and went one under with a 70. She made three birdies in that round.
The top 60 players made the cut (+2) and advanced to today’s third round. Fujisawa-Keuling is tied for 37th and will play her third round at the Kampen-Cosler course, teeing off at 8:27 a.m.
Two local players competed in the Boys Division and were cut after the second round. The cut was even par.
Westfield graduate Will Harvey finished with a five over par 148. He went even in the first round on Ackerman-Allen with 71, making two birdies. Harvey played the second round at Kampen-Cosler and finished with 77, draining three birdies.
Gabe Berglund, an incoming Carmel senior, scored a seven over par 150. He scored 72 in the first round, making an eagle on hole No. 16 and two birdies. Berglund scored 78 at Kampen-Cosler in his second round.
