Hamilton County has launched its new Imagery Hub, a centralized platform designed to provide seamless access to the county’s newest and historic high-resolution aerial imagery and geospatial datasets.

This initiative underscores the county’s commitment to transparency, innovation, and community engagement by sharing its authoritative geospatial data across county and city government agencies, with development professionals and citizens to provide the information they need to make informed, data-driven decisions.

“Our new Imagery Hub isn’t just a place to view aerial maps – it’s a key part of a broader initiative to provide an essential educational resource that helps users understand the specifications, accuracy, and real-world value of Hamilton County’s certified digital imagery,” County GIS Director Joan Keene said. “It’s a data engine for growth, equity, and sustainability.”

This new Imagery Hub works together with Hamilton County’s upgraded Map Viewer, enabling users to view aerial imagery, land cover, and elevation data in an intuitive and interactive 2D and 3D environment. This integration enhances transparency and usability, allowing the public to visualize both current historic and current conditions across Hamilton County in full spatial context.

Looking ahead, the county has plans to expand the platform with additional sections dedicated to Lidar Elevation Data Products, 2D and 3D AI/Machine Learning data, and AI-driven land cover change detection – bringing even more advanced capabilities to the Imagery Hub soon.

These innovations reinforce Hamilton County’s role as a local, statewide, and national leader in applied geospatial intelligence for local government.
