Franklin College honors 12 Hamilton County graduates

Franklin College’s 2023 Commencement took place on May 20 in Spurlock Center Gymnasium on the Franklin College campus. The top five majors of the graduating class were exercise science, business, psychology, biology and elementary education. The college conferred 175 undergraduate degrees and 28 graduate degrees.

Graduates from Hamilton County include:

  • Lora Carman Adkins of Carmel earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology (biomedical sciences). She graduated cum laude.
  • Justin David Case of Westfield earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in business (management).
  • Anya Marie Glodowski of Noblesville earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology.
  • Kyle William Haflich of Noblesville earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in sports communication. He graduated cum laude.
  • Eagan Brayden Keever-Hill of Noblesville earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in sports communication.
  • Colleen Hagen Kincaid of Fishers earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in creative writing. She graduated cum laude.
  • Ashlynn Nichole Meadows of Carmel earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in chemistry (industrial/graduate school). She graduated magna cum laude.
  • Abigail Elizabeth Rivas of Fishers earned a Master of Science degree in physician assistant studies.
  • Victoria Alexa Simmons of Carmel earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology (criminal justice).
  • Peyton Linnea Stewart of Fishers earned a Master of Science degree in physician assistant studies.
  • Andrea Beatrice West of Cicero earned a Master of Science degree in physician assistant studies.
  • Mara Lynn Wilson of Fishers earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. She graduated cum laude.

The senior class speaker was Armani Christopher, a resident of Gary, who majored in exercise science and minored in fitness. He was selected by his classmates to address the audience on their behalf.

Many graduates earned academic distinction and were recognized for their hard work during the ceremony with the ringing of the Liberty Bell, once for cum laude, twice for magna cum laude and three times for summa cum laude. Those graduating cum laude earned a grade-point average of 3.50 or higher; those graduating magna cum laude earned a GPA of 3.75 or higher; and those graduating summa cum laude earned a GPA of 3.90 or higher.
