Frank Michael Deal Jr.

August 18, 1934 – April 10, 2024

Frank Michael Deal Jr., 89, Westfield, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Harbour Manor Care Center in Noblesville. He was born on August 18, 1934, to Frank M. and Ruth C. Deal in Joplin, Mo.

Frank graduated from LeTourneau College with a bachelor’s degree in engineering. He attended Thrive Church and Christ United Methodist Church, both of Westfield. Frank was a former Scoutmaster for Westfield Troop 107. He was a former member of the Jaycees, volunteered on the logistics team for the Indianapolis Air Show, and enjoyed being part of the Solo Seniors Group. Frank retired from the State of Indiana, was a seasonal tax preparer for H&R Block, and loved working for the Safety Patrol team at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for over 40 years. He loved being able to help people and especially loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his daughter, Ruth (Steve) Hopkins of Westfield; son, Frank “Mickey” Deal, III of Sao Luis, Brazil; daughter, Rachel (Arnold) Patton of Carmel; grandchildren, Caroline (Brandon) Crum, Nicole (Ash) Short, and Bethany Patton; and great-grandchildren, William and James Crum.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be held at noon on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville, with Dr. Brian White officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Eagle Creek Cemetery in Westfield.
