In preparation for flu season, Franciscan Health is offering drive-thru flu shot clinics, which will be open to the public across multiple central Indiana locations for the next few weeks.
Locally, a drive-thru clinic will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12 at Franciscan Health Carmel Ortho Hospital, located at 10777 Illinois St., on the back side of the parking garage/east side of the property.
Patients ages six months and older can receive a flu vaccination. Patients five years and older can also receive the COVID vaccine. Available vaccines include COVID as eligible, shingles, pneumonia and flu (high-dose, egg-free, flu mist, and trivalent options).
Those attending the drive-thru clinics are asked to dress appropriately to receive a vaccine, bring their insurance card and be prepared to complete paperwork. Those with no insurance or self-pay will be charged $40 by cash, check, or debit card. If requesting the COVID vaccine, bring proof of vaccination. Other charges could apply.
