Franciscan Health receives CIMS-Green Building certification with honors

The Environmental Services department at Franciscan Health Indianapolis, Mooresville, and Franciscan Health Orthopedic Hospital Carmel have been recognized for passing the Cleaning Industry Management Standard-Green Building (CIMS-GB) assessment and reaccredited with CIMS-Green Building Certification with Honors.

CIMS-GB certification demonstrates that Franciscan Health Indianapolis, Mooresville, and Franciscan Health Orthopedic Hospital Carmel have all undergone a comprehensive assessment by an independent, accredited CIMS-GB assessor and have successfully demonstrated a commitment to the delivery of environmentally preferable services that are designed to meet customer needs and expectations.

The Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS-GB) is the first national management standard for the cleaning industry. CIMS supports operational excellence in cleaning and outlines the primary characteristics of a successful, quality, and green building organization.

“We are very proud of and grateful for our environmental services staff in central Indiana, who operate professionally and as a team to provide a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors and their fellow employees,” said Sister Martha Ann Reich, education coordinator, environmental services for Franciscan Health. “As Franciscans, we strive each day to be stewards of our resources and achieving this certification reaffirms our commitment to that mission. Thank you to every team member who helped achieve this.”

This year marks the fourth CIMS-GB Certification reaccreditation for the Franciscan Environmental Services team in Central Indiana.
