The Fishers City Council recently approved the hiring of a Parks & Recreation Department manager for the Agripark at 113th Street and Florida Road. Brandywine Creek Farms had been contracted to run the Agripark, but Mayor Scott Fadness told the council the city has severed its relationship with Brandywine.

According to the City of Fishers, the AgriPark is anticipated to be one of the nation’s largest urban farms and pays homage to Fishers’ agricultural roots, while inspiring future generations of farmers, scientists, agronomists, robotics engineers, chefs and more. The 33-acre park will open in the spring of 2020 to the public and will include an urban farm growing vegetables and melons.
