Fishers road construction updates, week of April 29

96th Street beautification

96th Street beautification will commence on Monday, April 29 with installation of conduit on North by Northeast Boulevard and heading east to 96th Street and Cumberland Road.

This project will consist of decorative streetlights being installed along 96th Street from North by Northeast Boulevard to Cumberland Road. New medians will also be installed along North by Northeast and Kincaid boulevards with streetlights. Fishers Trade Center

The contractor will work on “potholing” of utilities the week of April 29. Once utilities are located, work on Phase 1 will begin, which includes reconstruction of Britton Park Road (south of the fork) and Trade Center Drive.

Road construction is underway. Access to businesses will be maintained during the project. On May 2, the contractor will begin concrete work.

Citizens Energy utility work

There will be a lane restriction on 116th Street to allow for a Citizens Energy crew to remove a water valve in the roadway on Tuesday, April 30. One lane of westbound 116th Street just west of Lantern Road will be restricted between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., weather permitting.

Sidewalk improvement project

Howard Companies is currently working in the Tanglewood Neighborhood. Restoration will be taking place in the Windermere neighborhood. Restoration will be taking place in Windermere on the week of April 29.

This work will only consist of removal and replacement of sidewalk panels which pose a toe kick trip hazard. Sidewalk within driveways is not included in the scope of this project.
