Fishers man killed in Noblesville accident

At approximately 3:19 p.m. on Monday, police officers from the Noblesville Police Department (NPD) responded to the area of Hague Road and Fox Chase Drive to a report of a head-on crash involving two vehicles.

Based on witness statements and other evidence at the scene, a 2008 Honda Accord was traveling southbound on Hague Road, just north of Fox Chase Drive. Witnesses stated that prior to the crash, they observed the Honda cross over into the northbound lane of Hague Road colliding head-on with a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer traveling northbound.

The driver of the Chevrolet was identified as John C. Bredenkamp, 76, Noblesville. Bredenkamp was transported by ground ambulance to IU Health Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, in critical condition. There were no passengers in the vehicle.

The driver of the Honda was identified as Julian T. Duke, 35, Fishers. Duke suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported by ground ambulance to Riverview Health Hospital, Noblesville, where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators from the NPD Accident Reconstruction Unit were summoned to the scene to collect evidence and gather information. As a result of the investigation, traffic on Hague Road was closed or limited between 196st Street and Fox Chase Drive until approximately 5:30 p.m. Monday.
