Fishers got a big win for its Senior Night game on Tuesday, cruising past Lawrence North 63-51.
The two teams were tied at 12-12 after one quarter, but the Tigers took control in the second period, outscoring the Wildcats 19-8 for a 31-20 halftime lead. Talia Harris threw in two 3-pointers during the second quarter, with Karina Scott and Joirdyn Smith both making one triple.
Hailey Smith led the way in the first half with 12 points, and she added six more in the third quarter, helping Fishers to a 46-32 lead after three. Harris added seven more points in the fourth period, with Olivia Smith contributing six points.
Four Tigers reached double figures, led by Hailey Smith’s 18 points. Harris scored 13, Alycia Triplett added 11, and Olivia Smith totaled 10 points.
“I think that on Senior Night, everybody has to refocus themselves after the festivities at the beginning of the game,” said Fishers coach Lauren Votaw. “And I thought our kids did a really good job of that. I thought they honored their seniors really well, but then when it came time to play, they came to play.”
The Tigers are 19-2, winning their 13th straight game. Fishers hosts Franklin Central on Friday in a girls-boys doubleheader that will finish the Hoosier Crossroads Conference and regular seasons.
