Summer’s about to be in full swing in the city!

This year, Fishers Farmers Market is expanding to a second location.

What was formerly the Saxony Market will now be the Fishers Farmers Market at Saxony, presented by IU Health Fishers. This market will take place from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. every Wednesday from June 1 through Sept. 28. Much like its Saturday counterpart, this market will host a variety of great vendors and will be pet-friendly.

Splash Pads

The splash pads at Billericay and Holland Park open this Saturday. They are active from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days per week, and run in three-minute cycles. There are activation fobs at both locations, so the public can rest their hands on the fobs to re-activate.

Saxony Beach

Saxony Beach opens this Saturday, May 28. Hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week until Aug. 1. After Aug. 1, Saxony Beach will be open from 4 to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday and open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends due to staff going back to school. Fishers residents can enter free of charge. Non-Fishers residents ages 2 and up cost $7 per person. Non-residents can purchase tickets in advance at this link.

Memorial Day Ceremony

Join the City of Fishers to honor the service men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom at this special ceremony from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, May 30 at the Gold Star Families Memorial Monument in front of Fishers City Hall, 1 Municipal Drive.

After the ceremony, take a walk around the Central Green and Nickel Plate District Amphitheater to see the new light pole banners honoring local veterans and active duty servicemembers in the Fishers community. You can also honor a hero by purchasing an Engraved Brick Paver, which will become a permanent addition to the Liberty Plaza walkway. Learn more at fishers.in.us/FishersHonors.

Or, if your child is more inclined towards the arts, there are plenty of camps focused on just that. Looking for something outdoors? There is still availability for some AgriPark camps, as well. Parents Night Out presented by Snapology

This new evening class by Snapology will be offered once per month beginning June 24. Drop your student off, and then head out for a Parents Night Out. The first class is Pokemania. From 5 to 9 p.m. your student will have a fun, yet educational evening as they explore the Pokémon world and practice their Pokémon training skills. They will create their own training gyms, unique battles, and even their very own generation of Pokémon. Your student will also explore some real-world science as they examine the habitats, characteristics, and needs of different Pokémon. They will do more than catch ‘em all – they will build and examine them all very closely and have a blast doing so. Click here for more information.
