Fishers calling on artists to help celebrate city’s sesquicentennial

Fishers Parks and Fishers Arts Council are partnering to create Fishers Sesquicentennial Banners to be displayed on the fence around the development site of the new Arts & Municipal Complex beginning in June.

The banners will showcase artwork by local artists in the Hamilton County area. The artwork will celebrate life in Fishers from yesterday and today. Are you a local artist interested in submitting artwork to be considered?

If interested, please submit:

  • No more than three digital images of artwork to be considered.
  • Artists must include the title for the pieces
  • Artist’s contact information.

All artwork must either reflect life in Fishers today, or from years gone by. Celebrating all aspects of Fishers is the goal for these banners.

Please attach images of the artwork to the email as a PNG or JPEG file. Each should have a resolution of at least 300 dpi. Images may have any orientation, as they will be inset in the banners. However, all artworks should be properly oriented in the photo. All artists must be 15 years or older and an Indiana resident or student. Preference will go to Fishers artists.

Deadline for submission is noon on Monday, May 1. Please submit all required information and images to Fishers Arts Council by email at info@FishersArtsCouncil.org. Artists will be contacted by Friday, May 12 if their artwork has been accepted for the Fishers Sesquicentennial Banners.
