TCC, one of the nation’s largest Verizon authorized retailers with nearly 850 locations in 39 states, recently was recognized as a 2022 Top Workplace in Central Indiana by the Indianapolis Star. This is the third consecutive year TCC has received this honor.
Released May 15, the Top Workplaces in Central Indiana list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner, Energage, LLC. The anonymous survey uniquely measures 15 culture drivers that are critical to the success of an organization including alignment, execution and connection.
“Employee engagement is a top priority as we strive to make TCC a company people want to work with and work for,” said Scott Moorehead, President and CEO of Round Room, TCC’s parent company. “I’m so proud of our entire team for this recognition and excited to see how we continue to build upon our unmatched company culture to maintain TCC’s reputation and company ethos as a desired place to work.”
In January, TCC was also a recipient of the 2022 Top Workplaces USA award issued by Energage for the second consecutive year.
TCC’s longstanding commitment to company culture began in 2013 when Moorehead created an internal culture centered around driving connection, purpose and meaning for employees and its communities through giving back on the local level. With this, TCC now holds quarterly “Community Events” where the company gives back to its operating communities in a variety of ways. On July 31, TCC will hold its 10th annual School Rocks Backpack Giveaway where students across the nation will receive backpacks full of school supplies to get ready for the new school year. Since the event’s inception, TCC has donated more than 1.2 million backpacks to students in need through this program.
TCC is a Culture of Good, Inc. company and makes ongoing investments in the local communities where it operates. To date this year, TCC has donated teacher appreciation kits to 520 schools nationwide during its annual Teachers Rock initiative. In 2021, TCC stores nationwide purchased holiday gifts for 25 veteran families for Veterans Day; donated more than 140,000 backpacks full of school supplies to students; donated $50,000 to children’s in-person summer camps; and provided teacher kits to more than 500 schools nationwide. The company’s nonprofit organization, TCC Gives, recently surpassed $3.3 million in donations to local nonprofits across the country.
