Next month, First Christian Church of Noblesville will play host to a local CROP Hunger Walk as part of the Greater Indianapolis CROP Walk.

The CROP Walk is a national movement sponsored by Church World Service to raise funds to end hunger and poverty both in the United States and around the world. This year will be the 55th anniversary of the CROP Walk. Every $1 raised provides 10 meals through local partners in the U.S.

The local walk will be held at First Christian Church, 16377 Herriman Blvd., Noblesville, on Sunday, Oct. 13. Participants will receive lunch and a T-shirt. Lunch is at 1 p.m. with the walk beginning at 1:30 p.m.

Anyone interested in participating can be involved by joining the First Christian Church team, organizing a team of their own, walking as an individual, or by making an online donation using this link.
