Indiana Fever guard Lexie Hull hosted a basketball camp for young players in grades 1 through 8 last Saturday at Aletto Family Sports Center in Carmel. The camp was sold out, with hundreds of campers from across the country.

Hull said that she wanted to show the future basketball stars that “it’s fun at every level. It’s fun at this level, it’s fun when you get to my level, and to see the talent at this young age. I was really happy to see it wasn’t just girls coming to camp. There were young boys here, too. It just goes to show that women’s basketball is impacting not only the girls of the next generation, but also the boys.”

Hull joined the young players in shooting drills and played brief one-on-one games with a few of the campers before taking pictures with them.

“I have so much fun playing knockout, playing one-on-one with them, and I know they’re going to remember that,” said Hull. “I just try to bring as much joy to them as they bring to me.”
