Westfield Welcome has announced several fall events at Grand Junction Plaza during October.

Pumpkin Funktion

Pumpkin Funktion, presented by Centier Bank, returns to Grand Junction Plaza from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21.

Pumpkin Funktion is a free fall festival with themed carnival games, including pumpkin bowling, spooky Skee-Bowl, candy corn toss, and a pumpkin carving demonstration from Master Carver Lee Saberson. There will also be balloon artists, face painters, a caricature artist, a funky fun house, a palm reader, and a strolling stilt walker.

Nearly a dozen food and beverage vendors and more than 20 retail vendors will be on-site in addition to the planned activities.

Trick-or-Treat!

Trick or Treating in the Plaza, presented by the Westfield Chamber of Commerce and NSPIRE Church, returns from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 27. More than 30 local businesses and organizations will be on-site to provide a safe and welcoming community trick-or-treating event. Visit with a princess and take hero lessons with a superhero from Royal Events after you visit the NSPIRE Church photo booth.

Immediately following Trick or Treating in the Plaza, head over to the Great Lawn for Movies in the Plaza, presented by Community First Bank. Halloweentown begins at 7:30 p.m.

“We are excited that the community was so receptive to these events last year and are happy to bring them back again,” Westfield Welcome Director Kayla Arnold said. “We hope you’ll join us for one or all of our free events this month!”

Public event parking is available in the parking lot at the southwest corner of Poplar Street and Park Street and Westfield Intermediate School. A free parking shuttle will be operating during each event.
