More than 600 Everwise Credit Union employees spent Monday, Oct. 13 giving back across Indiana and southwest Michigan during the sixth annual Everwise Day of Giving.

With all 50 Everwise branches and offices closed for the day, employees dedicated their time to hands-on volunteer projects at over 45 nonprofit organizations. From painting and landscaping to sorting donations and creating care packages, teams worked side-by-side to support local needs.

At Children’s TherAplay in Carmel, Everwise volunteers helped maintain barn facilities and painted throughout the site, supporting the nonprofit’s mission of helping children with disabilities develop life skills through occupational horse therapy. The team’s efforts enhanced the therapeutic environment for those TherAplay serves each week.

At the Hamilton County Harvest Food Bank Warehouse in Cicero, volunteers unpacked, sorted, and stocked shelves. The food bank serves as a hub in the fight against food insecurity by collecting donations from grocery stores, farmers, and individuals, then organizing and delivering them to food pantries across the county.

“At Everwise, we take pride in making a genuine difference in the lives of people across the communities we serve,” Everwise President and CEO Jason M. Osterhage said. “Our Day of Giving is a true reflection of our people-first culture, where our employees unite to create meaningful and lasting impact.”

Since 2018, Everwise employees have volunteered thousands of hours through the annual initiative, reinforcing the credit union’s people-first mission and long-standing commitment to community impact.
