Esther M. White, 99, Noblesville, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at her home. She was born on July 2, 1925, to Albert and Monell (Conley) Moon in Noblesville.
Esther was born on Cherry Street in Noblesville. She attended school in a one-room schoolhouse and lived on a horse farm growing up. Her father and brothers worked for a farmer with 40 cows and raced horses at the State Fair. Esther lived at the Pumpkin Patch house when she graduated from Noblesville High School and married Harry White on October 1, 1943. She retired from Brockway Glass in 1987 after working there for 20 years. Esther and Harry were lifetime farmers and they ran the Clarksville Grocery. She enjoyed making beautiful quilts most of her life. Esther continued to make lap quilts and gifted them to family and friends.
She is survived by her son, John (Eunice) Hartsock; sister, Lillian (Clyde) Tidwell; grandchildren, Debbie (Joe) Gilmore, John Lewis (Tina) Hartsock, and Cathy (Mark) Howard; nine great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Esther was preceded in death by her husband, Harry White in 1983; and her siblings, Frances (John) Hughes, Walter (Mary Jane) Moon, Doris (Lester) Beaver, and Charles (Ladonna) Moon.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with services at 1 p.m., on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St., Noblesville. Pastor Kyle Orr will officiate. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
