Ensuring healthy food access for all in Hamilton County

The public is invited to the virtual 2022 Hamilton County Harvest Food Bank (HCH Food Bank) annual meeting, which will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22 via Zoom. Click here to pre-register.

This year, the featured presentation will be “Ensuring that all residents in Hamilton County have access to healthy food – The Hamilton County Food Resource Community Plan.”

During 2021, the Hamilton County Community Foundation Board, while recognizing food insecurity as a major initiative, started its work on the Hamilton County Food Resource Plan. Community Solutions Inc. was contracted to assess, explore, and collaborate with the food support network of Hamilton County to propose the best next steps to ensure that all residents of Hamilton County have access to healthy food. Several in person and virtual meetings followed and HCH Food Bank is proud to feature the findings and presentation at its 2022 Annual Meeting.

Featured Speakers include Lena Hackett, President Community Solutions Inc., and Tom Kilian and Jeena Siela, President and Senior Community Leadership Officer, respectively, of the Hamilton County Community Foundation. Click here to read more about each speaker.

HCH Food Bank advocates for all Hamilton County food pantries and meal programs and works to educate the general public as to what food insecurity means in local neighborhoods and how everyone can help.

During this annual meeting, you can learn more about HCH Food Bank and view 2021 highlights and activities. Please submit questions for the speakers and HCH Food Bank during the Zoom registration process or to Board Member Amy Englert by emailing aenglert@callcarpenter.com. You will also be able to submit your questions live during the event.
