Enjoy best of art, shopping & music this Saturday at Meet Me on Main in Carmel

Come to the Carmel Arts & Design District from 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12 for Allied Solutions’ Meet Me on Main. Make your way to Main Street and Range Line Road for an evening of art, shopping, music, and more.

Meet Me on Main is the City of Carmel’s monthly “second Saturday” event to highlight local galleries, restaurants and design-related businesses in the District. Art galleries and businesses will feature special events specially planned to enhance the art and design-related features of the District.

Special activity

You can take part in a hands-on, hot glass session in the plaza at Main Street and Monon Boulevard. Artist Lisa Pelo will lead participants in an activity to make beautiful pumpkin-shaped paperweights. Purchase tickets at CarmelArtsAndDesign.com.

Visit the art galleries and businesses to enjoy their special offers, as well as special activities in the Arts & Design District:

  • Live music stationed along the sidewalk throughout the district: Thomas Leitke in front of Anthony’s Plaza (201 W. Main St.), J. Elliott inside Kuaba Gallery (404 W. Main St.) and Classical Music Indy inside Indiana Artisan (22 N. Range Line Road).
  • Free activities located at Circle Real Estate (30 W. Main St.): Free caricatures; make and take fall gratitude craft – bring the family for an interactive craft that includes everyone. White plastic pumpkins, markers and additional materials will be provided so guests can write what they are thankful for on the pumpkin. Take the craft home and add it as a center piece.

Carmel Arts Council

The Children’s Art Gallery, 40 W. Main St. Kids of all ages are invited to weave Thanksgiving placemats. This is a free activity, and all materials will be supplied.

CCA Gallery & Gifts

CCA Gallery, 111 W. Main St., Suite 135. Featured Artists Katheryn Fehn and John Salamone will have their reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Fehn’s paintings create both impressionistic contemporary work and realism. Salamone is an accomplished weaver, designing luxurious scarves, shawls and table runners. Stop in, meet the artists, enjoy refreshments, and see their beautiful work.

Circle Real Estate

Circle Real Estate, 30 W. Main St. Jason O’Neil, President of Circle Real Estate, has engaged Susan Brewer to curate local modern art for pop-up and special events. Brewer will have the space open from noon to 9 p.m. She has a wealth of experience in commercial and residential curatorial services and is available for consultations by appointment.

Indiana Artisan

Indiana Artisan, 22 N. Range Line Road. Terre Haute artist Anna Lee Chalos-McAleese will demonstrate how she makes patterns on the surfaces of fused glass and adds clear glass to create depth to designs in her functional and decorative artwork.

Kuaba Gallery

Kuaba Gallery, 404 W. Main St. “2 Brothers 2022” features paintings by Bret Presley and edge epoxy tables and artwork by Craig Presley. Artists will be present at the exhibition from 5:30 to 9 p.m.
