Dear Editor:
I am writing to offer my full endorsement of John Lowes in his candidacy for Sheriff of Hamilton County. It is with great confidence that I support John, based on both my personal interactions with him and my professional observations of his leadership and character.
I first met John four years ago at the 71st SPIAA Conference in Covington, Ky. At the time, I did not know anyone attending and happened to sit at his table. John immediately made me feel welcome with his friendly and approachable demeanor. Throughout the remainder of the conference, we had numerous conversations, which allowed me to quickly recognize his professionalism, knowledge, and genuine passion for law enforcement.
Since that initial meeting, I have had the opportunity to observe John’s continued involvement and leadership within the Southern Police Institute Alumni Association (SPIAA). During his tenure as Secretary, John consistently provided thoughtful, positive input at every meeting and was always willing to step in and assist wherever needed. His commitment to the organization and its members was evident in both his work ethic and his collaborative approach.
Following his two-year term as Secretary, John was elected as 2nd Vice President, a role he has served in with the same level of dedication and professionalism. In July of this year, he is set to be elevated to 1st Vice President, a testament to the trust and confidence his peers have in his leadership abilities.
Beyond his accomplishments and leadership roles, what truly sets John apart is his character. He is an honorable individual who demonstrates a high level of integrity in all that he does. Through our many conversations and interactions, I have consistently observed his commitment to doing what is right, even when it may not be the easiest path. His integrity, combined with his experience and leadership, makes him exceptionally well-suited for the role of Sheriff.
I strongly believe that John Lowes possesses the qualities necessary to effectively lead, serve his community, and uphold the highest standards of the profession. I am proud to offer my endorsement and support for his candidacy.
