In light of Aug. 11 being National Poll Worker Recruitment Day and with the midterm elections less than months away, the Hamilton County Election Office continues to seek eligible residents to support in-person voting operations.

“This National Poll Worker Recruitment Day, we encourage residents to sign up to be a poll worker,” Hamilton County Elections Administrator Beth Sheller said. “Becoming a poll worker not only provides a behind-the-scenes look at how elections are conducted, but also offers an opportunity to serve alongside friends, neighbors, and coworkers.”
During the 2026 Primary, Hamilton County deployed 730 election workers across voting locations. Poll worker responsibilities include setting up polling locations, welcoming voters, verifying voter registrations, and issuing ballots using voting equipment.
