Hamilton County Elections Administrator Kathy Richardson reported 584 people voted on the first day of early voting.
This year’s count exceeds the first day of early voting in the 2014 midterm election, which recorded only 61 total votes.
Also, according to Richardson, the 584 votes filed on Wednesday ranks second to the first day of early voting during the 2016 presidential election, which tallied 898.
