Dotty E. Chavez, 77, of Noblesville, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Riverview Health in Noblesville. She was born on June 8, 1940 to Horace and Ruby (Hastings) Alton in Sandpoint, Idaho.
Dotty enjoyed family gatherings and cooking. She loved children and at one time cared for over 20 children in her home. In her younger years she enjoyed sewing, making pillows and especially loved spoiling her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 12 years, Lorenzo Chavez; sons, Bert Alton and Darby Brown; daughter, Teresa (Ernie) Risden; grandchildren, Misty Smith, Jeremy Risden, Amanda Leeman, Tiffany Alton, Zachary Risden, Madeline Brown and Lucas Brown; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Bud Alton, Butch Alton and Eugene Alton; sister, Betty Ellesworth; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by first husband, Frank D. Brown; and brothers, Harold Alton and Joe Alton.
Services will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road in Noblesville, with Pastor Dave Nicholson officiating. Visitation will begin be from 4 p.m. until the time of the service.
