Indiana resident Dorothy Newman, 81, died on April 4, 2022, in Noblesville.
Mrs. Newman was born on December 14, 1940, in Lawrence, Mich., to John Fred Weinhart, Sr. and Rachel Catherine Dellapella.
Dorothy Ann (Weinhart) Newman had been married to her husband Norman for 61 years. They both loved riding their pontoon boat on Otisco Lake in New York, where they resided for many years.
Dorothy greatly enjoyed baking, hosting friends and family, soap operas, gardening, Syracuse basketball, and always spending time on the water with her loved ones. Dorothy especially loved reading ever since she was a young girl. Dorothy was extremely patient, kind, hospitable, and giving to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, John and Rachel, her husband, Norm, and her brother, John (Bud) Weinhart. She is survived by her children, Jeffrey Newman (Amanda) and Shari Pauley, sister and brother-in-law Cecile and Don Long, and grandsons Wyatt and Cameron Newman.
