Songbook Academy in Concert

In the culminating performance of the annual Songbook Academy®, the Great American Songbook Foundation’s premier educational program, this inspiring evening brings together 40 exceptional young vocalists from across the nation to honor our nation’s rich musical legacy. Hosted by Songbook Foundation founder and five-time Grammy Award nominee Michael Feinstein, the concert features standout solos and vibrant ensemble numbers reflecting the breadth, diversity, and timeless appeal of the Great American Songbook.

An Evening with Harry Connick, Jr.

A consummate performer, Harry Connick, Jr., has exemplified excellence in the entertainment world for decades – be it music, film, television, or Broadway. Backed by his stellar band, this special concert will showcase the full breadth of Connick’s artistry – from jazz standards and New Orleans classics to his masterful originals and career-defining hits.

Celebrated as the “Voice of Generations,” Art Garfunkel is a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, winner of eight Grammys (including the Lifetime Achievement Award) and one of Rolling Stone’s 100 Greatest Singers of All Time. As co-founder and vocal arranger of the folk duo Simon & Garfunkel, he shaped popular culture with songs such as “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” “The Sound of Silence” and “Mrs. Robinson.” His solo hits have included “I Only Have Eyes for You,” “(What a) Wonderful World” and “All I Know.” Garfunkel also is a poet and actor, with films including Carnal Knowledge, Catch-22, and Bad Timing.

Get ready for an unforgettable evening as three of contemporary jazz’s most celebrated artists come together for one extraordinary performance. Forty of the nation’s most talented young vocalists attending the annual Songbook Academy® music intensive deliver solo performances alongside special appearances by Broadway star Mandy Gonzalez and Great American Songbook Foundation founder and five-time Grammy nominee Michael Feinstein.

Beginner Ukulele Class
8 p.m. Wednesdays, July 8 to Aug. 5

Cost: $63

Students learn basic strums and chords by focusing on a new song each week. Students may remain in this group until they feel confident to move on to General Ukulele. Recommended for ages 14 and older.

Jungle Jams music camp
9 to 11:30 a.m. July 20 to 24
The Studio Theater
Cost: $130

Through drumming and other music and movement activities in an imaginary rainforest, children aged 5 to 7 learn basic principles of rhythm and groove as well as positive character qualities.
