The community is invited to attend the fourth annual Husky Fall Family Resource Night from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at Hamilton Heights Primary School Cafeteria.
The family-friendly event will feature over 30 tables hosted by members of the community to share of their time and resources to support social-emotional learning, mental health, physical needs, food assistance, medical care, special ed resources, community classes and much more.
Attendees of all ages are encouraged to wear their costumes to treat-or-treat at each table. There will be crafts, giveaways (backpacks, coats and shoes), special guest storytellers and free books.
“This is a great opportunity to connect to services and for people to find out how they can help and get involved,” said Mary Ann Haymaker, Hamilton Youth Assistance Coordinator, about the annual family resource festival.
Donations for non-perishable food for the weekend backpack program are being accepted during the festival. The list of items being collected include: Canned green beans (15 oz.), canned corn (15 oz.), canned pasta sauce (24-30 oz.), Capri Sun or Kool-Aid jammers, and spaghetti or other boxed pasta (16 oz.).
The event, sponsored by Hamilton Heights Youth Assistance Program, is free and open to the public. Hamilton Heights Primary School is located at 25350 State Road 19, Arcadia.
