Donald McKim Fraser, 104, Fishers, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024, at Allisonville Meadows in Fishers. He was born on December 28, 1919, to Walter and Ann (McLaughlin) Fraser in Indianapolis.
Donald graduated in 1939 from Shortridge High School and entered IU in September 1939. He proudly served his country as an aircraft maintenance technician in the United States 9th Army Air Corps in the European Theatre during WWII from September 1941 to October 1945 and was awarded a Bronze Star. Donald returned to college and graduated from IU School of Business in January 1948. He was a sales rep for Studebaker Corp. in Kansas City, Mo., from 1948 to 1951. Donald was then manager in home office sales for Allison Division of General Motors for 30 years, retiring in 1981. Donald married Marilyn Gossard on May 14, 1949. He volunteered as a driver for Meals on Wheels for 24 years, serving as president for one term. Donald attended Noblesville First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his three children, Lynn (Paul) Donnelson, Marilee Fraser, and Brent (Cheryl) Fraser; grandchildren, Emily (Peter) Nadeau and Anna (Maris) Kancs; great-grandchildren, Alaina, Addison, Roláns, and Kaija; and two nephews.
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Fraser in 2018; and his brothers, Rolland Fraser and Walter Fraser.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m., with services at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, Fishers.
