Donald L. Perkey

January 8, 1940 – December 24, 2020

Donald L. Perkey, 80, Westfield, passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on January 8, 1940 to Ralph V. Perkey and Lovie (Riffle) Bush in Weston, W.V.

Don graduated from Charleston High School in 1959 and went to a vocational school to get his training in electronics. He was a technician for RCA for many years. Don was a member of Westfield Christ United Methodist Church and a 50-year Master Mason. He was an avid bowler for 60-plus years being involved in many leagues, including the Construction League at Woodland Bowl and the Senior Traveling League. Don also enjoyed golfing, lawn work, watching sports, and helping any neighbor that needed help, but most of all he loved family visits, cookouts, and reunions.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Charlene McLaughlin-Perkey; children, Donna Perkey, Lisa (Kyle) Comstock and Brian Perkey; aunts, Janice Gum and Joan Duffy; and his Yorkies, Cali and Dolly.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and stepbrother, Tim Bush.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown.

The family requests that those attending wear a mask and practice social distancing.
