David A. Metsker

December 16, 1946 – April 7, 2024

David A. Metsker, 77, Noblesville, passed away, surrounded by his loved ones, on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Riverview Health in Noblesville. He was born on December 16, 1946, to the late Richard and Maxine (Yancey) Metsker in Noblesville. He spent his younger years raising cattle on the family farm with his dad and uncle.

David graduated from Noblesville High School in 1966. He retired as a dye setter with Guide Corp. in Anderson after 37 years. David was a member of Noblesville Masonic Lodge #57 and York Rite. He loved traveling with his wife and friends, Sunday afternoon drives in his Mustang (which is for sale), and spending time with family. David loved sports and supported the Noblesville Millers. He especially loved basketball and received the Miller Fan of the Year award in 2020. David loved watching the Colts, both Purdue and IU basketball, and NASCAR.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Barbara Newby Metsker; two stepsons, Scott Haskett (Karen) and Craig Haskett; two granddaughters, Olivia and Meredith Haskett; and two step-grandchildren, Aidan and Emma Flynn.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with services at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
