The Hamilton Southeastern cross country teams scored a sweep at the Marion Wildcat Classic on Saturday, with both the girls and the boys squads winning their respective divisions.
The Royals girls scored 45 points to place first, comfortable ahead of second-place Westfield’s 72. Southeastern had the race winner, as Halle Hill finished the race in 17 minutes, 57.7 seconds. Maggie Powers placed fourth and Allie Latta was 10th to help with the Royals’ team scoring.
Sophia Brown placed seventh to lead the Shamrocks, which had five runners finish in the top 20. That helped Westfield to a strong second place, almost 70 points ahead of third-place Harrison.
In the boys’ race, Southeastern scored 30 points for the team victory. The Royals took care of their scoring early, with Nolan Satterfield, Will Marquardt and Jack Patrick finishing 2-3-4. Bennett Dubois placed eighth; all of those times were under 16 minutes.
Noblesville took second as a team with 44 points. Travis Hickner picked up another race victory, clocking in at 15:28.9. Asher Propst boosted the Millers with a sixth-place finish.
Fishers finished in third place by scoring 67 points. Three Tigers runners landed in the top 10: Will Clark took seventh, Jaylen Castillo was ninth and Matthew Leppert placed 10th.
Westfield placed fourth, scoring 161 points. Kai Connor led the Shamrocks by taking 20th.

The Guerin Catholic boys team won a close Indiana All-Catholic Championship meet, which took place Saturday at the Golden Eagles’ course.
Guerin edged out Bishop Dwenger 34-43 for the team title. The Golden Eagles had three runners place in the top five: Austin Callahan was third, Dominic Stein finished fourth and Gavin Morrow placed fifth. Thomas King finished in ninth place.
The Guerin Catholic girls team finished in fourth place with 96 points. Bridget Gallagher paced the Golden Eagles by taking third.

Carmel’s boys and girls team, and Noblesville’s girls, competed in the Eagle Classic Saturday at Brown County.
The Greyhounds girls were a close second to Columbus North; the Bull Dogs scored 82 to Carmel’s 85. Annie Christie led the ‘Hounds by placing second in a time of 17:44.7.
Noblesville’s girls finished in 10th place. Nadia Perez led the Millers by finishing 26th.
In the boys race, Carmel finished third with 65 points. Kole Mathison was the race winner, in a time of 15:18.3.
