The Hamilton Heights girls cross country team won the Maconaquah Invitational last Saturday.
The Huskies scored 72 points, comfortably ahead of runner-up Western’s 102 points. Senior Juliana Springman led the way for Heights, placing eighth in a time of 20 minutes, 18.3 seconds.
The Huskies had all of their top seven runners finish in the top 25. After Springman, the Heights runners were: 12. Anna Monnin 20:34.3, 16. Kendall Moe 21:00.0, 17. Mary Ella Bichey 21:03.0, 19. Allie Bushey 21:10.8, 21. Ayla Madara 21:22.2, 24. Amira Leer 21:41.2, 37. Hattie Graham 22:39.9, 62. Madison Shively 24:11.5.
In the boys race, the Huskies placed 10th with a score of 217 points. Sophomore Isaiah Heuer led Heights by finishing in 13th with a time of 17:16.7. Other Huskies runners were: 40.
