The Carmel girls tennis team beat Zionsville 5-0 in a Monday dual meet.
Emma Brune, Leila Antony and Nora Perkins all won straight-set matches in singles for the No. 3-ranked Greyhounds, with the doubles team of Alexa Lewis/Hallie Reeves and Anjali Natarajan and Kaitlyn Conley also getting straight-set victories.
Carmel is 4-1 for the season and plays this afternoon at No. 2-ranked Park Tudor.
Westfield, ranked No. 15 in the state, beat Lebanon 4-1 in a Monday dual meet.
No. 1 singles Julia Gabennesch and No. 2 singles Alana Raymond both won their matches 6-0, 6-0. In doubles, No. 1 Maya Raymond and Olivia Krauss were 6-2, 6-0 winners, and No. 2 Emma Schwind and Chloe Carlsson won 6-2, 6-2.
Noblesville, ranked No. 18, also won a Monday dual meet 4-1, over Pendleton Heights.
No. 2 singles Allie Stamm breezed to a 6-0, 6-0 victory, while the Millers won all of their other matches 6-1, 6-0. Winners were No. 3 singles Josie Flinchum, No. 1 doubles Katelyn Decker/Kaylee David and No. 2 doubles Sierra Leach/Lina Hamashuk.
Noblesville plays at Anderson today.
Hamilton Southeastern, ranked No. 6, swept past No. 24 Brownsburg 5-0 on Monday.
The Royals won all five matches in straight sets. No. 1 singles Tea Vrkic won 6-0, 6-0, while No. 2 singles Taylor Wolf and No. 3 singles Emma Biberich both were victorious 6-1, 6-0. In doubles, No. 1 Misha Bukkasagaram and Emily Orme cruised to a 6-1, 6-4 win, while No. 2 doubles Meghan Slaninka and Kaylee Etheredge were 6-3, 6-0 winners.
“Both doubles teams played really well tonight, and I was proud how they stepped and rose to the challenge,” said Southeastern coach Kirk Webber.
The Royals finished its conference dual season unbeaten at 7-0. Southeastern will next compete in the Hoosier Crossroads Conference championships, which begin Thursday at Fishers.
Over the weekend, the Royals finished second at the Delta Invite. Southeastern beat Muncie Burris 5-0 in the first round and Delta 4-1 in the second round, then fell to Fishers 3-2 in the third round.
Bieberich finished undefeated at No. 3 singles, while Bukkasagaram and Orme were unbeaten at No. 1 singles for the tournament.
