Hamilton County Surveyor Kenton C. Ward was recently appointed to four committees with the National Association of Counties (NACo).
Ward was appointed to serve on the GIS Subcommittee, IT Standing Committee, Resilient Counties Advisory Board and the Rural Action Caucus. The appointments were made by NACo President Larry Johnson, DeKalb County, Ga. Commissioner.
“It’s an honor to be chosen to serve on these committees and to be able to bring back to Hamilton County what I have learned by doing so,” said Ward. “It’s important to make sure local and county issues are heard at the federal level. Through these appointments and the strength of NACo, Hamilton County has a seat at the national policy table.”
In addition to his seat on these committees, Ward also serves on the NACo Board of Directors, the Environment, Energy and Land Use Steering Committee and the Water Subcommittee.
