Coonfield
Jackson Township Fire Chief Jeff Muszar is pleased to announce that Lt. John Coonfield has been promoted to the position of Fire Captain.
Coonfield started as a volunteer with Jackson Township Fire Department in 2006 and began his full-time career with the Fire Department in 2013 as a Firefighter-Paramedic. He has served the department as a Lieutenant since 2016 and has been instrumental in adding a Fire and Life Safety Division as part of Jackson Township Fire Department. He was also instrumental working with Seals Ambulance in the implementation of the Tipton County 911 EMS service in 2008.
Coonfield served this country in the Marine Corp Reserves and was combat-deployed to Iraq, specifically the Sunni Triangle. He is married, and he and his wife have one 10-year-old daughter. They live in a nearby community.
