September 25, 1992 – July 21, 2025
Colleen Marie Trittipo, 32, of Indianapolis, died in a car accident on Monday, July 21, 2025. She was born in Indianapolis on September 25, 1992, to Paul Trittipo and Dora Northcutt Trittipo.
She graduated from Noblesville High School in 2011. She attended Ball State University and graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature and Creative Writing. She worked as an online tutor for over 10 years and had just started a new career at JD Finish Line as a Legal Operations Coordinator one week before her death.
Colleen adored her cats Lily, Howie, and Bruiser, upon whom she showered endless attention, love, and affection. She was a talented artist who enjoyed painting, crochet, and had recently started sculpting with clay. Colleen enjoyed gardening and could often be found outside pulling weeds from flower beds, watering her flowers, and cultivating herbs for use in her cooking. Colleen was incredibly proud of her new home and worked diligently to decorate every room in her signature style. Colleen was an avid fan of fashion and could almost always be seen in checkerboard print and platform sneakers when she wasn’t relaxing at home in her comfy clothes. She believed every moment of her life was a precious gift worth remembering and strived to document it to the best of her ability with thousands and thousands of photographs and meticulous journaling.
Colleen is survived by her husband, John Vardaman, whom she married on February 22, 2025. They were together for eight years. She is also survived by her father, Paul; brother, Jack; sister-in-law, Bailey; and niece, Indy; mother-in-law, Jamie and father-in-law, Jon; sisters-in-law Morgan and Britni and niece, Evie; aunts, Maureen Madden, Sheila Northcutt, Debbie Fabert, Donna Hinrichsen, Sara Love, Cyndi Trittipo, and Donna Trittipo; and uncles, Timothy Northcutt, David Trittipo, and Thomas Trittipo. She is preceded in death by her mother, Dora; her grandparents, Marvin and Bette Northcutt and Henry and Josephine “Jody” Trittipo; and her uncles, James “Jim” Northcutt, Joseph Madden, and John Trittipo.
Colleen’s life will be celebrated at an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, August 3, 2025, at Colleen and John’s home, 5853 Oakcrest Drive, Indianapolis.
