The City of Carmel team has been on the job through Wednesday night and Thursday, taking critical steps to ensure the safety of residents as part of the response to the storm’s aftermath.
“While the damage to personal property is regrettable, we are grateful that there was no loss of life and, at this point, only one report of physical injury,” said Mayor Sue Finkam, expressing gratitude to the swift response from the city team. “From first responders and public services crews to our support staff, they are working tirelessly to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents.”
Here is important information for residents to support the response alongside the city’s team:
If you live in the highlighted region in the map at right, please place any tree debris next to the roadway, and the Street Department will come by and remove it.
Please ensure all debris is placed properly by the curb for easy pick-up. This service is available only for residents within the highlighted area, so please check the map for eligibility. When you are ready for pick-up, please notify the Street Department using the contact information below.
Any residents in need of assistance due to age or medical conditions – please contact the Street Department.
Residents whose homes received structural damage from the storm should report it to the Street Department and our City Building Inspectors will schedule an assessment.
