Cherish, the Nationally Accredited Child Advocacy Center for Hamilton County, is proud to host its fifth annual breakfast fundraiser from 7:30 to 9 a.m. on Thursday, June 27 at the Delaware Township Community Building, 9090 E. 131st St., Fishers. The focus this year is the Trauma Care program. Cherish provides children with therapy for trauma encountered because of abuse.
The keynote address will be provided by Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness. Mayor Fadness has a master’s degree in Public Affairs. He clearly has a heart for kids as he is a board member of Early Learning Indiana as well as a member of the Hamilton Southeastern School Foundation Advisory Council. He will highlight the importance of post-trauma care for victims of abuse and the effectiveness that therapy intervention can have in the healing process.
