Circuits + Synths: Atari Punk Console Workshop

Registration is now open for a brand-new workshop in partnership with Jennasen at Fishers Parks’ Maker Playground makerspace facility!

Build your own analog oscillator and lo-fi glitch synthesizer to take home! Learn basic electronic circuitry, soldering technique, and the fundamentals of sound synthesis. No experience needed. All materials provided.

What is it? An analog lo-fi glitch synthesizer is a hardware device, often handmade and circuit-bent that generates distorted, warped, colorful, and noisy sound effects by manipulating analog signals, creating unique retro-digital textures.

Geist Half Race Series returns in 2026

The 2026 Geist Half Race Series returns Saturday, Sept. 12, with a family friendly 5K, 10K, and the iconic half-marathon race around Geist Reservoir.

Lock in the lowest price of the season with today’s New Year’s special through Thursday, Jan. 1. Register before 11:59 p.m. on Thursday to take advantage of this deal – no promo code needed. All participants receive a race shirt, medal, and free drink at the after party.

Open Gym resumes Jan. 11

Open Gym is a collaboration between the Fishers Health Department on Sundays through March at Fishers Junior High School, 13257 Cumberland Road, Fishers. Open Gym runs from noon to 5 p.m., and guests should use the north parking lot and enter through the athletic entrance (Door 12).

These free sessions are open to all Fishers residents and are designed to bring families and friends together to stay active and connected with pickup basketball, pickleball, and more to move and play. Open Gym is community focused and intended for recreational play rather than organized team practices.

Christmas Tree Recycling

Fishers residents can drop off bare, live Christmas trees for free through Feb. 1 for recycling at parks locations in Fishers. Please ensure that all lights, decorations, and tinsel are removed, and do not place the tree inside a plastic bag.

Drop off locations:

  • Brooks School Park (parking lot, gated area)
  • Cumberland Park (first parking lot) Roy G. Holland Memorial Park (parking lot, gated area)
