Charles Franklin Spurrier

Charles Franklin Spurrier, 84, Noblesville, passed away on October 2, 2020 at Riverwalk Village in Noblesville.

He was born on December 9, 1935 in Indianapolis to Rufus Bailey and Edith Blanche (Gray) Spurrier.

After attending schools in Indianapolis, he honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He then worked for 35 years as a service manager at auto dealerships, first at Dave Mason Buick and lastly at Family Buick, both in Indianapolis. Charles was a car enthusiast from an early age, even collecting them.

He was an avid fan of IU sports, the Indiana Pacers and Indianapolis Colts. He liked going to flea markets and garage sales, usually searching for automotive items. Most of all he enjoyed family gatherings, especially interacting with his grandchildren.

He is survived by a son, Joseph Charles Spurrier, Noblesville; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Helen (Holsinger) Spurrier; and a son, Scott Edward Spurrier.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Hartley Funeral Home Cicero Chapel, 209 W. Jackson St., Cicero, with burial to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery near Arcadia.
